The link between Edwards’ dual experience as a provider and mother led Starr to realize a major personal dream in Bitchin’ Kids, a free, on-site childcare program for all company employees. Since launching in 2019, the program has offered roughly $1.6 million in free child care to its employees.

The company also provides 4 open hours of “Volunteer Time Off” each week, for employees to engage in coordinated volunteer efforts. Since 2020, Bitchin’ Sauce has donated nearly 8,000 hours of volunteer work with over 65 worldwide partners including The Whole Kids Foundation, Child Rescue Coalition, and Kids for Peace. 

For Starr, these initiatives are at once personally-motivated ways to bolster quality-of-life amongst Bitchin’ employees, and utterly practical, success-oriented business practices.
