Bitchin' Sauce

Carlsbad, CA - The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce honored businesses, non-profits, and individuals at the Annual Carlsbad Business Achievement and Distinction (CBAD) Awards on April 24th, 2023.

Bitchin’ Sauce was recognized with the Kindness Inspiration Award for its significant impact on its employees and community. Their free on-site employee daycare program and Volunteer Time Off initiative, which provides each employee with four paid hours a week to volunteer at a partner organization, are two notable examples of their commitment to kindness. This award serves to recognize and celebrate companies that uphold the Kindness Certified Company (KCC) values: “Be Good To Your People, Support Our Community, Be Kind To Our Planet, and Create A Better World.”

Since launching its free on-site daycare program in 2019, Bitchin’ Sauce has offered roughly $1,600,000 in free child care to its employees when compared to California’s average weekly daycare rates across all age groups. To date, there are 34 children enrolled in the program, spanning from infant to school-aged children. These children are appropriately dubbed “The Bitchin’ Kids!”

Bitchin’ Givin’, the pillar of the Bitchin' Sauce leading community engagement efforts, has donated nearly 8,000 hours since launching in 2020. Partners include: The Whole Kids Foundation, Child Rescue Coalition, Kids for Peace, 1MillionHome, Olive Crest, and 65 other organizations.
